MY BREAK

My break was a lot of fun.  I went to my grandma's house and saw all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins.  It was nice to see them all again.  My close cousins came up from Delaware.  I got together with some of my friends and we just hung out.  I sleep in a lot, and hatted getting up up to my alarm clock when it went off.  I also spent a ton of time with my puppy, Bruno.  We also got a new piano.  It is really nice.  It is shiny and black, and sounds great!  It shows a lot of dust though.  My dad is part of the Ambler Rotary club and he also helps a lot around Ambler.  He is one of the head people, that has to set up the Ambler Christmas parade.  So for two days we were painting the rotary float that will be in the parade.  It looks awesome!!!!!  It took a while but it was worth it.

A Christmas Story

Every year there is a great holiday. It’s Christmas!!!! You see white snow on all of the tall evergreens. Children are excited to get presents. Santa Clause at the mall! That’s what all of the kids want to hear. Stockings hung on glowing fireplaces. One, for everyone in the family. People go to church and sing songs of cheer. Trees in houses are decorated with ordaments, and lights. They glow in the dark room. Jolly Old St. Nick, comes down the chimney at night, the young ones are in bed, sleeping. Through town Carolers are caroling. Their voice travels around every corner.

Button Description Story

Lost, and Found
Hi my name is Abigal. I am 60 years old can’t you see why? I am vintage, nothing like today. My skin is two different colors. One is shiny, and the color of the sky, and the other is dark, and looks like bark from a tree. I belonged to a loving little girl. She was the daughter of the Queen. I belonged to her doll Mary. Mary was a Ragidy Ann doll. I was sewed onto Mary’s bow in her hair. The little girl took Mary everywhere. One day she took her to the park. That is where she lost me. She never came back for me, but someone did. His name was Jack. Jack was a very nice man. He took me to his clothing store and made me young again. He made me shinier and happier. Jack took me and sewed me onto a beautiful gown. I was so glad that he found me and made me into this. The day after he put me in the store window, I came down. He handed me to this lovely lady and she tried me on. She loved me and took me home. She was a young lady, and seemed to have great taste. Picking me of course. When we got back to her house, it seemed like I was here before. The house was big, big like a palace. The young lady reminded me of the girl with the doll that I belonged to, and you know, I think it was.

VILLANOVA GAME

On Monday my dad took be to the Villanova basketball game. They played Fordham. I had never gone to a basketball game before, so it was really exciting for me. They won by 20-30 points. It was different to watch.  They were moving up and down the court so much that it was hard to keep up with the ball.  I have never seen so many three pointers go into the net before.  This was some good bonding time with my dad, and we both really enjoyed it.

The Murder from the sky

Joe Kalibar is a local bird watcher. Everyday he goes on down to the local park, sits on a bench, and watches the birds go by through his binoculars. One Friday afternoon he was looking for his favorite bird, the Blue Jay. He moved his head to the right a little and he passed a man and a woman through the trees. He did not want to be nosey so he turned and looked the other way. Five seconds later he heard a loud squeal. He looked back over at the man and woman, and he saw the man grab the woman, through he to the ground and stab he in several places. He never thought in his wildest dreams that he would see something a bad as that. He couldn’t believe what he had seen. He quickly took out his cell phone, and called the police. He reported…
“Hi I am Joe Kalibar and I just witnessed a murder!”
“Do you see the people now?” said the voice on the other line.
“Yes, Yes I do.”
“Ok now listen closely, I want you to describe the people to me. Ok. We are sending police over now.

As Joe described the people to the woman on the other line, he looked through his binoculars. In the distance Joe heard the sirens of the police car.
“Ok ma’am, the man is starting to run, I have to go!” Joe hung up the phone and started towards the forest.
“Wait sir don’t hang up! Sir…Sir.. Sir!” The woman screamed into the phone.
Joe was on the move. He rushed after the man, but the man had a head start. When the police arrived Joe and them chased after the man through the forest and through town. The man went across the street and did not ee the oncoming cat. He was hit by a reckless driver. Both, the man and the driver were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The police drove Joe back to the park to pick up his belongings. When they got there, there were all sorts of people. There were Investigators, Police, FBI, and park rangers. The Investigators studied the woman’s dead body.

A few das had gone by and Joe was getting all sorts of complements from everyone. People that he knew and people that were complete strangers to him. On Sunday morning he got his daily paper. On the front cover the heading said “ Local Bird Watcher saves the day!” Joe was proud of himself. He started to read the article, then he got the full understanding of what happened that day. The man’s name was Mike Lamburg. The woman’s name was Carrie Small. She was not from the area. These two people were both married but had gotten a davocorce. They got the divorce because Carrrie (Mother of three) went anorexic. She went anorexic because she thought she was to fat to get into a job that she really wantded, so she wanted to loose a few pounds. When Mike killed her he was drunk. He had no idea what he was doing. Mike cam out of the hospital with a full recovery from the accident, but he is going to serve lifetime in jail for the murder. So, What started out as being a great Friday afternoon, turned out to be a wild goose chase. Joe was proud of what he did.

The 2008 Presidential Election

This morning I found out who our new president was.  His name is Barack Obama.  He is the first African American president of the United States.  Barack Obama had 364 votes and John McCain had   163.  McCain needed 270 more votes to win the 201 election.  John McCain was only 2 percentage points away from Obama in the popular vote.

Halloween

This halloween I went trick or treating with my friends Katie and Gretchen.  I was a Phillies foam finger.  It was really cool.  I spray painted this foam board red and then cut out a #1 foam hand.  Then I painted the fingers onto the red board white.  After that I tied string on it and hung it around my neck. I got so many complements on Halloween night.
I also got 5.8 pounds of candy.  I am never going to eat it all!!!

WORLD SERIES

Last night the Philadelphia Phillies won the most important game of the season, the WORLD SERIES! The last time they won was in 1980!  It was the best 3 innings of the whole year. The whole team really deserved this.  I walked out my front door and heard car horns, pots and pans, and yelling!  After the game I watched all of the fans pour into the streets and light fire works.  I am glad that Cole  Hamels got the MVP to.  The car that he won was one of the nicest cars that I've seen.
I used to come home eat dinner and then watch the game.  Now that it is over I don't know what I will do.  I guess just watch the last innings over and over again.
I can't wait for nest year to come around.

conscious story

I was on my normal Sunday bike ride. There was a little fog in the air and it was cold, cold enough that I could see my breath. But that was the way I liked it. There were cars passing me everywhere. I never knew that many were out at this time. I look to see what song was on my ipod and when I look up a car was… “ O my gosh are you ok? Can you here me?” Said a voice. “ She is breathing!”

When I woke up I was not aware that I was in a Hospital. I was alert of what was going on and all. I didn’t know what happened. How did I get here? Who helped me? These were all questions that I did not know Rebecca Marinucci
the answer to. It was so quiet in the room I think I heard crickets. There was a nurse in the room. I asked her who had brought me here, and she said a man named John Jacob. She was glad to here me responding to her and talk to her. I had never heard the name before. She told me that she would bring him in.

When he came in I asked him what had happened. He told me the whole story. How I was riding my bike and he did not have his headlights on and he could not see me through the fog. I was glad to know what had happened. I was glad that he came to the hospital and stayed there so he would know that I was alright. After I was in the Hospital for a few days I was sentient and the nursed gave me the ok to go home.

World Series

Yesterday was the first game out of seven,  of the world series.  It was the Phil.  Phillies vs. the T.B Rays. I watched the first 5 innings and fell asleep.  This morning when I woke up I read the front section of the paper and it said that the phills won the game with a close score of 3-2.  I was so happy.  I can't wait till tonight's game.  I hope they win.

Think out of the box

I think that thinking out of the box means that you think big.  You don't think of anything normal, kind of different.  It would be creative, and cool.  You can think out of the box, for about anything.  You can think out of the box for a project, or for fun, for like a game or something.

Frost

I love frost.   I love the cold weather.  I think it is so pretty.  Just seeing all of the leaves fall and the colors, I just find it really nice.   Fall and spring are my favorite seasons.  When I looked out the window this morning, the leaves on the trees were white.  And looked like they would break, and crunch into tiny peaces if you touched them.  As I walked out the door and across the grass to my neighbor's house it crunched under my feet.

Foggy Fall Morning

This morning the fog was so thick that I could not see the school in front of me.  It was really funny.  I also could not see the stands on the visitors side of the football field.  I love fog.  It is so cool how it can hide almost anything.  I also think fog can be creepy.  Depending where it is.

Favorite Restaurant

My favorite restaurant is Scoogi's Classic Italian.  This is my uncle's restaurant.  The menu here is family  friendly.  It is almost all Italian food, which is my favorite.  I love going to this restaurant because everyone there is so nice.  The dishes there are very plain and simple.  There is nothing fancy about them.  The menu is designed by different categories of food.  From pasta dishes to pizza.

Success

If I were to define success I would say it was accomplishment. To achieve success you have to be confdent, you kind of have to believe and try not to let your self down. For me to be successful for the rest of the marking period I have to be confedent that I am going to get good grades.

Rainy Friday

I love the rain.  I think it is so coming.  Just listening to the rain trickle down the window.  It sounds so peaceful.  I can see the rain drops splashing into big piddles.  I can feel the cold drop as it hit my hand when I walked out the door.  I could smell the dew that was on the grass in the early morning.  I could taste the cold air moving in.  It felt really good.

Sail on Water

Ever since she was young
She loved boats.
Her favorite was
the sail boat

She loved how they glided
on the water.  And
would not make a sound.

She drew all of the boats at the nearby dock.

She watched a race one day.
All of the rainbow boats.  Their
Reflection painted on the
clear blue, green water.

She thought it was beautiful.
She wanted to do something
Just like that.  She really
wanted a boat.

One day her parents
got them a boat.  It looked
Beautiful as it floated.
She was so happy.

Autumn

I love autumn and fall.  This is my favorite time of year.  I love seeing the leaves change colors, from green to red and yellow.  I love that when they fall they make people's yards colorful.  They are so pretty!  I also love how the weather changes.  It gets a little colder outside,  you now have to ware long pants and sweatshirts.  I don't really like the HOT weather,  I prefer this.  I can't believe that it is the first day of fall today.  I did not realize this until this morning.
