Liz Longley

Over the weekend I went and saw my cousin Liz Longley sing at one of her concerts!  I have only seen her perform once before at a park.  When I went there it was a totally different atmosphere.  She was older, and she sang better, more professional songs. She sang at a tiny restaurant that once was a town home.  It had a tiny stage, cafe, and lots of seating.  She was absolutely  amazing!!  She sold out the whole place.  Her best friend Sarah Zimerman played the guitar, along with Liz, and every once in a while Liz would play the Piano which made the songs sound so much better.  I went with my aunt,cousin, my mom, and sister.  My friend, her mom, and her sister came also.  They all listen to her, and have always wanted to see her perform live.  We had so much fun that night.  I hope to see her again soon!

I get off of the train and enter into a world of commotion. New York is where I am. As I go up the steeps of the train station, I smell the exhaust from all of the taxicabs and trucks. It fills my lungs and makes me want to cough. I hear car horns going off every one minute from impatient drivers in cars next to me. I guess it is rush hour. I have never heard this kind of commotion before. I also hear people screaming as if someone was chasing them I walk down the sidewalk and past a pizza parlor. I can taste the pizza as if I was eating it that second for lunch. Today was the first time that I have ever walked around New York and it was amazing. As I walk back to the train, and down the stairs I say good by to everything. The smell, the taste, the things I heard, everything. I hold the railing and go down the stairs to train A going back towards home. I feel the raining and it is sticky, and slimy, and grouse. I have never felt this before. I get on the train and it takes me back home. I will never forget my day in New York.

A few years ago we put a huge addition on the back of our house. It is a family room, basement, and a master suite for my parents. My sister and I moved bedrooms when it was time. My mom and dad went upstairs, I went into their old room, and my sister went into my room. When I turned 13 one of my “big” gifts was that I got to redo my new room, if I stayed in the budget. I thought this was a fair enough deal with my parents. So I painted over the ugly tan and beige walls with tow shades of green. After painting for two days of horrible painting it was time that I put some things on the walls. For Christmas I had gotten these square cork- boards, and covered them in different fabrics and hung them on the wall. I got this idea from pottery barn teen! I was able to hang up all of my pictures of me and my friends, and family. It made my room look really cool. Over my windows my mom made me these cool valances that are stripped with pink green and a tan color. I have one of those long floor length mirrors. My dad hung up some of my pictures and a long shelf that goes over my bed. On it I put all of my trophies and medals. I put up some picture frames and some cool doodads. I could not get a new comforter so I had to use my old one, but that is ok. When my parents had the room they changed the carpet to hardwood to carpet, and of course I got the ugly carpet. I asked to change it but I was not allowed because it was supposed to be a good quality carpet, and I was not allowed to change it. I am still working on convincing my parents that I need a new carpet, but they told me that for now I am going to have to live with it. I like what I have done to my room; I think it expresses who I am in a good way.

3. Lauren Becker- Lauren is a tall, red-head who can be very shy. If you just stick her onto a hockey field or with her friends she comes out of that shell and has a good time.
4. Kelly Marolla- Kelly Marolla talks sooooo much, she thinks everything is funny, and she walks like a duck. Her and I became really good friends last year, and she will make your day no matter how much you are down.
5. Parker Ells- Parker Ells says WOW way too much, he is tall, and has a twin brother.
6. My Dad- My dad looks like a cool guy who will never blow his top off, but if you send him in the right direction you will get a beating
7. Katie Ziglar- Ziggs is her nickname, she is a short blond girl, she looks quiet, but will tell you what ever is on her mind about you, or other people.
8. Sarah Higgins- “Man” is what we call her because of her horrible handwriting, and her deepish man voice. She can be very sarcastic some of the time.
9. Liz Longley- Liz is my cousin, she looks exactly like me, but she can be very shy. But if you give her a note, she can sing he heart out like no other.
10. Angelo Rosato- Angelo is a short 8 year old boy who likes to wrestle and skateboard. He can be very shy until you do something that he loves to do, than he can talk for hours.

New Year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! My break was a ton of fun!! I did a lot with my friends and family. One of the really fun things that I did was I went snowboarding with my family and our good friends. I had sooo much fun. I have some bruises though. I took two bad falls . While over break I tried to think of a good new year resolution, and have not had much luck.

I have not posted in a long time!
Yesterday I was so happy that it snowed. I love the snow, I think it is really pretty. Well I hope it doesn't melt by this afternoon. From the looks of it outside, I don't think it will. I can not wait for Christmas break. Counting today there is only 5 days left of school!!!
